What raises the price

  • An old valve or plumbing. Older valves and pipes sometimes need replacing once the old tub or shower comes out.
  • A rotted subfloor. If water has damaged the floor under the tub, it has to be repaired before the new shower goes in.
  • Layout changes. Moving the shower, drain or valve to a new spot adds work.
  • Barn-style doors. Barn-style doors cost more than a standard sliding door, and Dawson includes the exact price in your written quote.
  • Add-ons. Seats, grab bars, shelves, niches and fixture finishes each add to the total.

If any of these come up, Dawson includes them in your exact written quote after the visit, so you know before any work starts.

How to read a quote

  • Check what is included. Walls, pan, valve, showerhead, door, removal of the old tub and cleanup should be listed.
  • Look for one clear price. Be careful with a large starting number that drops only if you sign today.
  • Read the warranty. Ask what is covered and for how long. Ours is a limited lifetime leak warranty on our work and a lifetime product warranty on the products we install.
  • Compare the same things. Line quotes up side by side with our Compare Quotes worksheet.

What changes the price

  • Size and shape. A larger or corner shower usually costs more than a standard alcove.
  • Tile or wall panels. Wall panels have no grout to scrub. Panel style and color change the price, and tile is a different kind of job.
  • Glass. A curtain rod, a standard sliding shower door, a barn-style door or custom frameless glass each price differently. Barn-style doors cost more than a standard sliding door, and Dawson includes the exact price in your written quote.
  • Accessories. Shelves, niches, grab bars, a seat and fixture finishes add up.
  • Layout changes. Keeping the shower where the tub was is simpler than changing the room.
  • Moving plumbing. Relocating drains or valves adds work, so Dawson includes it in your exact quote after the visit.

Common questions

How much does a walk-in shower cost in Cincinnati?

With Blessed Bath, walk-in showers in Cincinnati, Batavia and Clermont County start at $9,600 with Pioneer Plus walls. Monterey walls start at $11,600 and Luxura walls at $12,600. A standard sliding shower door adds $1,000. Barn-style doors cost more than a standard sliding door, and Dawson includes the exact price in your written quote. Use our See Your Price tool for your own estimate.

How much does a tub-to-shower conversion cost?

A tub-to-shower conversion is priced the same as a walk-in shower, starting at $9,600. If you want to keep a tub, tub showers start at $10,000.

Can I get a price before anyone comes to my house?

Yes. Our See Your Price tool shows an estimated price in about 2 minutes, with no phone number or email needed. Chris then visits to measure and help you pick colors, and Dawson personally sends your exact quote.

How long does a shower install take?

Installs typically take about two days. We go over the plan with you before we start.

Is there pressure or a contract to sign at the visit?

No. The visit is free, with no pressure and nothing to sign. You get time to think it over, talk with family and compare quotes.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Batavia, Cincinnati, Clermont County and Hamilton County, including Milford, Amelia, Union Township, Anderson Township, Mt. Washington, Loveland and Blue Ash.

How much does a bathroom remodel cost in Clermont County?

In Clermont County, including Batavia, Amelia, Milford and Union Township, Blessed Bath walk-in showers and tub-to-shower conversions start at $9,600, and tub showers start at $10,000. These are the same prices as in Cincinnati. We are based in Batavia, the Clermont County seat.

Do you serve all of Clermont County?

Yes. We serve Batavia, Amelia, Milford, Union Township, Bethel, Williamsburg, New Richmond, Goshen, Owensville and the rest of Clermont County.

Why don't national or statewide averages match your prices?

Many cost articles average together everything from a simple shower swap to a full gut remodel with new tile, flooring and lighting, in many different areas. A shower or tub-to-shower replacement is a smaller, focused job that typically takes about two days, so a broad average does not tell you much. Our prices are for this kind of project in Cincinnati, Batavia and Clermont County.

What can make my price higher than the starting price?

The most common reasons are an old valve or plumbing that needs replacing, a rotted subfloor under the old tub, moving the drain or changing the layout, choosing a barn-style door, and add-ons like a seat, grab bars or shelves. Dawson includes these in your exact quote after the visit.

Is the price online the real price?

The See Your Price tool uses the same starting prices we quote. After a free visit to measure, Dawson sends your exact written quote, and we give our best price from the start.

What warranty comes with the work?

We offer a limited lifetime leak warranty on our work and a lifetime product warranty on the products we install. We are insured, and proof of insurance is available on request. We are BBB Accredited (A+ rating) and rated 5.0 from 84 Google reviews.
